I like them well enough! They seem like good people, I'm sure... I'm sure we can trust them.

We can speak with them afterwards, after you know for sure who knows your secret. I'm sure they'll be able to keep it outside the game.

Tell me about your time in the army.

[nods, taking on that military posture again]

I was turned down multiple times due to health problems. The only one who gave me a chance was Dr. Erskine, who wanted me for his super soldier program. I went through basic training, was chosen for the first and only experiment, and was ultimately their only success.

What kind of stuff did you do after you were in the army?

Propaganda stuff, at first. I was one-of-a-kind, so they couldn't risk losing me. Later I led the Howling Commandos behind enemy lines.

What happened after that?

Look you're going to have to tell me the heavy shit.

We had missions. Not honorable ones, necessarily, but they needed to be done. It was a war. We raided military outposts and Hydra bases, primarily.

Any heroics you're proud of?

... probably the first mission I ever went on. Had to disobey a couple orders, but - I brought about two-hundred men back from the prison camp they were being held in. Including my best friend.
