Experiment 10 - Zeta

[ The elevators do not take you up to your living area. Rather, they take you DOWN, to a small room with three white walls, and one that is a thick, translucent plastic. There appears to be a chute of some sort behind the plastic wall. ]

Now, in order to determine how well you know each other, we're going to see which teams are the most popular. The rules are simple:

* At the end of the test, each team will suffer an attack. Each attack will kill about half of everyone present.
* You may choose one team (other than your own) to defend from this attack. A team that is defended will not be harmed.
* If you wish to defend yourself instead of another team, you must choose a team to attack.
* You may not refuse to choose.

Which one of us is putting the vote in, seeing as those two are hell-bent on the other not doing it.

Who's going to be 'front-line'? I'll take it that'll be us two again. The AI says we're not going to get weapons, so we're probably just going to be meat-shields.

It sounds like it, but I'd rather be front line, unless someone is immune to death.

Have you lost a clone yet?

Once, but it was due to a disconnect, not a death. Apparently it was the quickest way to stop us from learning information GLaDOS didn't wish us to know.

You've done well to not die, then.

Hardly. I've been lucky, and I haven't provoked her so Zeta wouldn't have to pay for my revival.

[shrugs]

You've still done well, whether that's down to luck or not. I say we link arms and stand tall.

A new clone might help me get a decent amount of sleep for once, anyway.

I don't imagine that a new clone would help that.

No. But it might be drained enough that my brain shuts off in favour of sleep.
