[Shakes his head and points to Edward.] He'd be the one to ask. I only really know basic stuff about it, how it can change things from one form to another.

It is rather interesting. Even if some of it confuses me. I'm more of a physicist.

I'm a mechanical engineer! There's lots of scientists and scholars where I'm from, and I've never heard of a thing like that.

[Nods.] It might make sense. He wasn't as familiar with a lot of the machines I knew about too. [Or...other him.]

[Okay, that is REALLY a headache.]

Most of the stuff here is beyond my world. Sadly.

I think it's kinda mixed bag for me! Some of the stuff is like, old news, but some of it's pretty new to me too! Really, the surprising part is it being so common.

Why's that?

'Cause I'm not used to it? I mean yeah sure, stuff being around for labwork is one thing, but for lay people to recognize things too is pretty rare. Not even like, government or military people, but just plain old regular people.

Y'know, people who aren't specialists?

Do you mean for the tools or just any sort of technology?

Lay people really isn't special vocabulary, it's a common term. . .

Sorry. Usually anything for technology would be pretty available unless it's really new or really dangerous. The only question is if people can afford it.

Though I wonder if some of this stuff WOULD be readily available...

Yeah, see, I'm not used to people being able to get this kinda stuff period. So I can work with it, but it being common's pretty new.

How it works, what makes it go together so smooth, how it can move so fast... [And he kind of lists a bunch of other questions, some more technical, others that are kind of 'oooo, shiny,' before he stops himself.]

...it's...really impressive stuff. I'd like to know as much as I can.

It sounds like some of that stuff is more manufacturing details than the engineering! But after this I can try and teach you some of the basics, okay? Though the power sources here are different, I think the logistics are the same!

It's always good to have a full picture.

[Nods.] That'd be good. If nothing else, I'd like to know where I can start for the real questions.
