Problems with the design. A hard equation, fuel deficiency, things like that. We were developing a pretty new product, so we were starting pretty much from scratch.

[Depression is a terrible thing. Though, Alfons also probably had to drag him TO bed after he tried to solve it for forever in the first place.]

It was pretty simple. I knew a lot of the guys around and when things were going well, the whole group would go celebrating. Mostly day to day stuff. Shopping, cooking, checking out any new books from the library or bookstore.

On Sundays we'd go for a drive in the country and he'd tell me stories about home.

There were hard times, as always. But compared to most, we were better off. I had money from my family still and Sigfried was always willing to help out if things got too tight. And Hohenheim used to send money for a while...

It was a good apartment. Munich itself was...well, it was after a war. It was still recovering, but it's not like it was half destroyed or had a bunch of riots all the time.
