[ The elevators do not take you up to your living area. Rather, they take you DOWN, to a small room with three white walls, and one that is a thick, translucent plastic. There appears to be a chute of some sort behind the plastic wall. ]

Now, in order to determine how well you know each other, we're going to see which teams are the most popular. The rules are simple:

* At the end of the test, each team will suffer an attack. Each attack will kill about half of everyone present.
* You may choose one team (other than your own) to defend from this attack. A team that is defended will not be harmed.
* If you wish to defend yourself instead of another team, you must choose a team to attack.
* You may not refuse to choose.

A lot of the other people here are so afraid of dying. What makes you think they'll defend the other teams?

That's true. But we know what the consequence is of not choosing.

But if we're gonna all be killed anyway, we may as well help another team.

That lowers our chance of survival.

That's assuming we have a chance of survival in the first place. It's--it's just a puzzle, right? Let's--we should figure this out.

Figuring out if we even have a chance.

There's only 10 attacks in total, right? And by default they go one each. So if everyone defends, or if everyone protects, then no one would die, right?

But I'm sure our overlord would do something about it, with that kind of outcome.

True. And that's assuming everyone would do the same thing.

I think Iota will defend themselves. And Gamma and Eta'll probably protect someone.

Alpha would defend themselves as well. And Zeta would protect another team.

Epsilon'll probably protect someone. Kappa...themselves. Beta too, maybe. I dunno about Theta.

Guess the real question is...would any of those teams attack us, versus any other team. I don't think we're anyone's favorite, but I don't think we have any enemies. Unless... [this is a meaningful look]

I've already told Tenjou my decision. I think we should go for the team with the most points. In the case that no one defends them, they won't have a problem buying new clones.
