Experiment 10 - Zeta

[ The elevators do not take you up to your living area. Rather, they take you DOWN, to a small room with three white walls, and one that is a thick, translucent plastic. There appears to be a chute of some sort behind the plastic wall. ]

Now, in order to determine how well you know each other, we're going to see which teams are the most popular. The rules are simple:

* At the end of the test, each team will suffer an attack. Each attack will kill about half of everyone present.
* You may choose one team (other than your own) to defend from this attack. A team that is defended will not be harmed.
* If you wish to defend yourself instead of another team, you must choose a team to attack.
* You may not refuse to choose.

[stands quietly by, hand clenching and unclenching for his sword]

[puts a hand on his shoulder. doesn't say anything just... waits]

Where does that go? [hand pressed against the plastic, looking at the chute]

I'm guessing that takes us to whichever team we choose to defend.

[foil]

[he definitely does not like the sound of that, in fact, he's got to sit down a moment]

[cloak_and_sniper]

[watches him silently, but she's ready to dash over if he freaks out. again]

[foil]

I'm fine.. with Gamma.

What kind of attack do you think it will be, Lafiel? Shepard?

Would it mean anything to move to the edges of the room?

[cloak_and_sniper]

... Turrets? Another team?

And I don't know. You can try that if you want, at least one of us needs to survive. But... if we're defending, that's what I'll be doing.

Same here. I don't think the walls would provide much cover from turrets; the only cover here is us.

Possibly separating out the ones she wishes to kill if she had to; she can control the floors.

[foil]

[ for once he wishes this wasn't a cloned body since his original is very difficult to kill ]

Who is going to tell her?

[knighting]

[waits to see if anyone say anything then nods]

I will. [refuses to let someone hold that kind of guilt]

You may. Or I will, if you don't want to.

[foil]

No.

People are going to die. I won't let you be the reason.

[and yes, he totally went to hit Elliot for considering it, looks to Lafiel] I'll do it.

You aren't the reason either. She's the reason, regardless of who speaks the words.

[cloak_and_sniper]

Which one of us is putting the vote in, seeing as those two are hell-bent on the other not doing it.

[prideofabh]

I can.

[cloak_and_sniper]

[nods, folding her arms]

Who's going to be 'front-line'? I'll take it that'll be us two again. The AI says we're not going to get weapons, so we're probably just going to be meat-shields.

[prideofabh]

It sounds like it, but I'd rather be front line, unless someone is immune to death.

[cloak_and_sniper]

Have you lost a clone yet?

[knighting]

[barely dodges] Leo!

Like hell I'm letting you! [grabs his arm]

[foil]

Grr!

Elliot! Knock it off!

[knighting]

No!

Dammit Leo!

[foil]

[jerks his arm back] Let go of me! I don't want you to be responsible if people die again, okay?!

[knighting]

[jerk]

And why would I let you either!?

[knighting]

[looks at Shepard with a wry smile before looking over at Leo, he's worried and it's obvious under the stern look]
